About The Author
G. A. Lloyd
Geri-Anne, also known as G. A. Lloyd, was born and raised in Calgary and spent more than 30 years of her life in the profession of cab driving. In 1990, she and her spouse, Christopher, moved to Diamond Valley, and together they are raising two sons and living with four pets who they love dearly.
After the death of her husband in 2019, G. A. Lloyd turned to writing, where she considered the contentment, they had together as a couple because of the music her bluegrass band played.
Her first book came to be after her experiences of caring for her mother, who had dementia.
In this journey, Geri realized the immense power of empathy and compassion and how there is a need to share such understanding with others.
She feels that writing is like a therapy that allows the expression of emotions that are not vocalized.
Geri-Anne also dreams of reaching out to people who are struggling to cope with the complications of dementia care and providing them with support and empathy.
Through her work, she tries to tell her story with the aim of celebrating the power of caregivers around the globe.
